Lieutenant Cecil Robert Morrall Parr

Cecil Parr was born in Warwickshire in 1882, on the 1911 census he was married to Margaret. There is an entry for him in the Gazette dated 10th August 1916 announcing his appointment to temporary 2nd Lieutenant in the Army Service Corps aged 34, he was later promoted to Lieutenant. Lieutenant Parr Joined the 801st company on the 30th January 1919. On the 1st February 1919 he took over command of the company from Major Holland. Lieutenant Parr oversaw the period of demobilisation of men from the company during February and March 1919; and the handover of stores and equipment to the Base Mechanical Transport Depot at Kalamaria near Salonika. On the 1st April 1919 Lieutenant Parr handed over command to Lieutenant Hunt and presumably returned to the UK. After the war he worked in Birmingham as a solicitor and died aged 70 in 1952.

Lieutenant Gordon Percival Hunt

Gordon Percival Hunt was a Londoner born 1886 in Lambeth, he married Olive Barton in June 1915 and their only son Peter was born just a year later. He was appointed a 2nd Lieutenant in the Army Service Corps 11th April 1917, eventually achieving the rank of Lieutenant.  Lieutenant Hunt Joined the 801st company from the base depot at Kalamaria near Salonika on the 31st March 1919. The next day he took over command of the company from Lieutenant Parr, but his stewardship would last only a few weeks. Demobilisation of the company was almost complete, on April 30th the company was disbanded, all remaining equipment handed over and Lieutenant Hunt, 5 N.C.Os and 19 men were posted to the Base Motor Transport Depot at Kalamaria. According to the Gazette Lieutenant Hunt re-enlisted with the Royal Army Service Corps 11th October 1939, he died aged 74 in Wandsworth June 1960.
