801 MT COY ASC

The 28th Field Ambulance Workshop Unit carried out maintenance on the motor ambulances of 28th Division.  A Field Ambulance Workshop Unit consisted of; one officer and eighteen other ranks. For administration purposes they were attached to the 28th division's Field Ambulance. In May 1917 the 801st acquired spares from the 28th F.A.W.U. and in July 1918 the 801st took over maintenance of medical vehicles from the 28th F.A.W.U.
